1. The graphic upgrade. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Ships are getting a big polygon bump, there are some nice screen shots in the dev blog. Probably more support for modern features in graphics cards like HDR and etc. <signature>yo</signature>

2. What's wrong with these forums? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Just widen your window. The table with the content doesnt fit because of the way the right column is positioned, so when the middle section is wider than the space available to it then it renders below the right column once the space is available...

3. Graphics Cards [*ADVISE PLEASE*] - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
It depends on what card you are using right now. Eve is extremely CPU-dependent. I was very surpised when I upgraded my Asus Ti4400 to a BFG 6600GT OC that I saw absolutely no performance gain. Here are some brief specs of the rest of my system:...

4. Capacitor recharge rate & Power load - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Your analogy only highlights the need for this. If the powergrid is not being used fully and there is no penality for using it fully, then this extra headroom for power generation should be used for charging the capacitor. <signature>yo<...

5. Capacitor recharge rate & Power load - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
You're talking about the final combination of drain rate and recharge rate which would be the total rate of change in the capacitor energy. I'm talking about just the recharge rate. <signature>yo</signature>

6. Capacitor recharge rate & Power load - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Actually you would have to take it offline instead of just not shooting it, but neither will boost the capacitor recharge rate. <signature>yo</signature>

7. Capacitor recharge rate & Power load - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
The reasoning is very basic if you have any background at all in electronics, engineering or physics. A capacitor charges faster when a higher voltage is applied to it, more voltage can be routed to the capacitor from the reactor if it is not bei...

8. Capacitor recharge rate & Power load - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Why arent the two related? Shouldnt the capacitor recharge faster if you have less of a power load? Not even a question, the answer is YES. So why isnt this so? Seems like it would add for more strategy in ship configs. <signature>yo</s...

9. Is there a pirate code of honor/self-respect of some sort? - in Crime and Punishment [original thread]
Thank you all for your opinions... hopefully pirate actions dont discourage other new players from continuing the game. I like Eve a lot, so I'm sticking around because I think the danger of attack adds a lot to the fun and gameplay. <signatu...

10. Is there a pirate code of honor/self-respect of some sort? - in Crime and Punishment [original thread]
Wow I havenĘt heard about the implant removal, is that a part of the Salvage feature being added? Also I'm not sure if I came off sounding like I'm complaining, just curious about people's attitudes on the subject. I'm not really mad or anything,...

12. Is there a pirate code of honor/self-respect of some sort? - in Crime and Punishment [original thread]
Because I really dont understand why someone would kill me just for the kill... I dont have anything good in my ship and I've been playing for all of like 3 weeks. Isnt being a pirate all about going after profitable loot? Surely if I succumb to ...

13. Why are agents making such bad offers? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
This Q18 agent made me an offer I could easily refuse! The deal was to get some mining crystals at 3x the market price and use 700 respect points. Why dont they make economically useful offers? <signature>yo</signature>

14. Why don't the planets fall into the stars? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Edited by: Athena Vinci on 14/07/2006 23:59:53 I think some people mentioned this, but yes all you need is an intial angle, orbit radius, and mass. From that its is an extremely simple problem to find the location of your circular orbit at any...

15. New Computer, New Graphics Problem - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
There seems to be a lot of confusion here as to how displays and human eyes and drivers work. Allow me to clarify... Displays A CRT rescans horizontal lines one at a time from top to bottom left to right. It takes 1Hz for this scan to cover an...

16. What about Merlins? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I used railguns and rockets on my first Merlin, but once it was destroyed I switched to 2 x 250mm Artillery and 2 x Missle launchers in the high slots. This was a great combo and earned me a lot of money real quick on agent missions, and hunting ...
